AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation will host a Policy Primer, “Competition and the States: California vs. Texas,” on Monday, November 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Stephen F. Austin InterContinental Hotel. The event features Governor Rick Perry, world renowned economist and “Father of Supply-Side Economics” Dr. Arthur Laffer, and Vice President of Policy and Senior Fellow with the Foundation’s Center for Fiscal Policy The Honorable Chuck DeVore.

Join us for a discussion about how The Texas Model is alive and well as the Lone Star State continues to seek the entrepreneurs and enterprises of states like New York, Maryland, California, and beyond. California, the state most like Texas in resources and population, is intent upon reclaiming the title of the most dynamic and innovative state in the nation. We will discuss if this is the year that the Golden State will turn things around and what Texas can do to maintain its lead.
