AUSTIN – Texas Public Policy Foundation President and CEO Brooke Rollins issued the following statement on the passing today of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia in West Texas:
“The flame in the torch of liberty flickered with the passing of conservative U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia,” said Rollins. “But, it did not extinguish. Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation pauses to mourn the loss and honor the legacy of Justice Scalia – a man of strong Christian faith and staunch defender of the rule of law and United States Constitution. Justice Scalia’s tenure remains one of President Ronald Reagan’s greatest legacies. Today we mourn, but tomorrow we rise committed to championing the principles of freedom and liberty represented by Justice Scalia.”
