AUSTIN, TX – The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Center for Local Governance today announced the launch of a new website to educate and engage Texas’ local governments. The website,ThinkLocalLiberty.com, offers free-market research, commentary, and model bill language on a wide-range of issues affecting local governments in Texas.

“Texas continues to be ‘California-ized’ at the local level with excessive regulations, sky-high taxes, and soaring debt and pension obligations,” said James Quintero, director of the Center for Local Governance. “Reining in bad local government policies is key to keeping Texas the land of liberty and plenty. Aiding in the fight for liberty is a new tool for conservatives – ThinkLocalLiberty.com – which will provide the intellectual ammunition needed to stop the ‘California-zation’ of Texas.”

James Quintero is Director of the Center for Local Governance at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

The Texas Public Policy Foundation is a non-profit, free-market research institute based in Austin, Texas.
