The Texas Public Policy Foundation commends Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Education Agency for the updated guidelines which provide clarity to schools on how they can proceed with educating students in the fall.

“We are grateful to Governor Abbott and Commissioner Morath for offering more clarity to schools on how they can safely resume learning in the fall,” said Stephanie Matthews, senior director of the Next Generation Texas campaign at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. “This provides a more predictable landscape to help schools, teachers, and parents make plans. It’s important that parents have clear information so that they can make the best decision about the ideal setting for their child to learn this fall. Whether in a classroom, virtually, or in a hybrid setting, parents deserve to choose the best and safest learning environment for their children.”
