New state-level personal income report: Texas among top performers in 2014 personal income growth

Yesterday, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released state-level personal income data for 2014. The report notes that Texas nominal personal income, which includes the sum of net earnings, property income, and personal current transfer receipts, increased by 5.6 percent last year. This is the nation’s fifth highest growth rate with the national average increasing by 3.9 percent.

TPPF’s John Davidson testifying before Texas House Public Health Committee

Director of the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s (TPPF) Center for Health Care Policy John Davidson will testify before the Texas House Public Health Committee TODAY, Tuesday, March 24, upon adjournment in room E2.012 in the Texas State Capitol. Davidson will testify on House Bill 1945, which would enable Texas physicians to engage in direct primary care and clarify that direct primary care is not insurance.
