New poll shows voters strongly support dental workforce reform in Texas

A new poll released today by the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Center for Health Care Policy shows voters strongly support dental workforce reform in Texas through the creation of licensed dental hygiene practitioners (DHPs). These midlevel providers would be trained to work under the supervision of a dentist to provide restorative and routine dental services like filling cavities, extracting teeth, and administering local anesthesia.

Media Preview of Texas Public Policy Foundation’s new headquarters at 901 Congress Avenue

The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) will hold a media preview of its new, state-of-the-art headquarters at 901 Congress Avenue on TODAY, April 20, 2015 at 10:30 am CDT. A day ahead of its grand opening, TPPF will open its doors for an exclusive media tour of the Michael S. Stevens Building, just 352 yards from the State Capitol and approximately 42,000 square feet covering six floors. The Michael S. Stevens Building houses the Joe B. Hogsett Theater, the Red McCombs Event Center, and the Governor Rick Perry Liberty Balcony with wrap-around views of downtown and the state capitol.
