The Texas economy keeps growing and providing economic opportunity and affordable housing for millions of Texans—old and new. Texas’ relatively strong property rights protections have played a large role in this, allowing businesses to expand and housing to increase. But more protection is needed as Texas’ growing population makes the state, local governments, and private entities more likely to condemn or restrict the use of private property.
